Main Page 5 out of 10
Likes: The layout is summery, and the image fits with the coloring. The
entry text gets to the point, and describes the site well. It works on both
netscape and IE, the use of tables was a good idea.
Dislikes: The image in the layout is a bit grainy. Maybe you should've used
a slightly less grainy image from the anime. The links have no difference
from the rest of the text until they're hovered over, maybe you could try
adding an underline or something to them even when they're not hovered over,
so the visitor doesn't become confused while looking for the links. When you
were using an exclamation mark, you used two at once, only one should be
enough. The navigation was nearer to the bottom of the page than it was the
top, maybe it should be moved up a bit. Onto the image, maybe. Then it could
be on every page. The centered text was also a bit odd to read, aligned to
the right or left would be better.

Likes: You included your opinons in it, which is good. In the
"Love" section, it was nice having the thumbnails to show an image
of some of what was going on. It was also good that you were consistent
about everything.
Dislikes: The images of Seiya and Sailor Star Fighter at the top of the
"Seiya Kou" and "Sailor Star Fighter" pages were
borderless, and the image's text looked a bit odd, as the font you used on
it wasn't meant to be such a small size. In the pages, you used a few too
many ellipsises, which could easily be replaced by periods, a dash, or no
punctuation marks at all. For example, "a spiffy red suit... what's not
to like?" could be "a spiffy red suit. What's not to like?",
and "Which... gets him into trouble" doesn't seem to need the
ellipsises at all, unless you were omitting some words. Most pages had
centered back buttons, but the "Anime Seiya" and "Manga Seiya"
pages didn't. You should be a bit more consistent. For Sailor Star Fighter,
you said how her story was a mix of the manga and anime. I didn't exactly
get if you meant that you used a bit of both, or that the stories were just
about the same in the anime and manga. For the "Three Lights"
page, you might be able to give links to a good shrine or fansite about
Yaten and Taiki, so anyone who thought that they want to know more about
them could go to that site and read more. The "Three Lights" page
also has a couple of grammatical errors. For example, "about Yaten's...
about Yaten in general". Another way it could be done, for yet another
example, is "about Yaten. Not just in a few areas, but about Yaten in
general". For the "Love" section, you could have something
about what's going on in the picture, or your opinion of the picture, in an
alt image tag. Not too important, but that could be nice. On the "Anime
Seiya+Usagi" page, there's a long blank spot at the end. I'm not
exactly sure how it's there, even after checking the HTML, but you probably
should look into trying to fix it. In the "Manga Seiya+Usagi", you
refer to Seiya as "he", when you've said earlier that in the manga,
Seiya is a "she". In the "Other" under Love, you
misspelled "that" as "tat". Under "Naoko's
Comments", I can't really tell if you're referring to a picture in some
parts, or putting down the translation. On the "Voice Acress"
section, you put "Voice Actress" in the menu, and
"Voice" on the page itself. There were a couple of grammatical
errors on the Voice Actress page. For example, "She 5 foot 5",
should be something along the lines of "She was 5 foot 5", and
"a type of lukemia at the age of 29" should probably be "a
type of lukemia, at the age of 29". And, since you were only speaking
of Seiya's voice actress for the japanese version, maybe you should have
called her a "Seiyuu", which is the Japanese term for voice actors
and actoresses. On the end of "were you wondering", you said it
was your take on the truth, which implies, when one is just scanning through
the page, that it is the truth, when it's really your opinions.
Saying that it's just your opinions would be a bit better.

Likes: In the images section, it's good that they're all true thumbnails,
that they pop up in target="_blank", and that they have little
captions. The song's lyrics are accurate, too. You mentioned that all of the
wallpapers were only 800 by 600, which makes for fewer times of loading the
background just to find out that it's too small. The midis all worked, and
listed the titles well.
Dislikes: In the images, the links to "s110.jpg" and
"s125.jpg" are both broken, and lead only to a 404 page. Under
"Song Lyrics", you didn't say if you translated the songs yourself
or not. If you didn't, you should give credit to the place who translated
them, or where you got the translations from. The backgrounds should, like
the images in the gallery, open in a new window.
Interactive 3 out of 10
Note - The fanfiction and fanart areas of interactive aren't commented on.
Likes: The quizzes were interesting.
Dislikes: The fanlisting seems to be another site entirely, so it should
open in a new window. On the awards, you say that you'll list the person's
site if they win an award, but where would it be listed? You forgot to
mention that. The quizzes should take you to a page, whether you win or
lose, and tell you what the answers to each question were, as to save your
bandwidth from the people who refresh to click on every option until they
get it right. And, the Sailor Stars quiz has a different font from the rest
of the site, and the Seiya quiz has half the normal font, half the font on
the Sailor Stars quiz. The personality quizzes taken doesn't really seem to
fit on this site, as it's a shrine, and not a personal site. Either way, the
images of the personality quizzes, and the personality quizzes themselves,
should open in a new window.

Likes: You gave your reasons for opening your site on the "Why Seiya"
page, maybe you could also add why you named the site "Happy
Star". It's good how you've divided the links on the link page, and the
buttons weren't bad. I that you commented on your review instead of just
sitting it there to be looked at, on its own. The awards all have true
thumbnails on their thumbnails.
Dislikes: The "Why Seiya" page was centered, when most of your
other text pages are not. You probably should fix that. You use a few too
many caps and exclamation marks on the said page (Why Seiya), too. The
Support page's title first made me think it was "Support Happy
Star". Maybe you should rename it to "Supported",
"Supporting", "HS Supports", or something like that. On
the Links page, the link to Gengetsu.net had no set font, so it displayed
Internet Explorer's default font (for most browsers, Times New Roman). Maybe
you should fix that. And this page, too, was centered. Is this entire
section centered purposely? Your commenting on the reviews isn't really very
long, maybe you should elaborate on what were the best and worst points of
the review, in your opinion. The awards don't open in a new window, maybe
you should set their target to target="_blank". And, the link to
the guestbook is broken. It goes to "http://www.peko-peko/net/gbook.htm",
when it should go to "http://www.peko-peko.net/gbook.htm".
Comments: You use exclamation marks and ellipsises in excess. You probably
should cut back on them. And, it also would be a lot easier to navigate if
you had the navigation of the main parts of your site listed on each page.
Maybe if you used PHP files, you would be able to do that easily. There are
a few grammatical errors, too. Anyway, good luck with your site in the
future!

My
comments: Alright, I do use "..." an awful lot. I'll go back and
look over that. Otherwise, again, I don't accept the complaint against my
grammar as valid. My writing style has been formed over reading a vast
number of other styles. It IS a legitimate writing style; it just
happens to be used by more obscure writers.
*laughs nervously* Um, yeah. About the whole font thing... I've tried to
make that consistent. I was uploading pages at random times, so I guess I
kind of forgot where I was going in some parts. *blinks* And this isn't the
first time someone's pointed out a long blank on the Seiya+Usagi page. I
honestly have no idea what you are talking about! There isn't any blank on
my machine, and I've also looked at it on my University's server. This is
something I really want to fix, but I don't know how if I can't see it.
Ahhh!!
I had no idea the guestbook link was broken! Thank you SO much for telling
me that! That was just a dumb mistake on my part. >.< And as for
the fanlisting... it's PART of Happy Star. I made it solely to help enhance
this site. I was trying to make something original, and I know I succeeded.
NO ONE else has an official Seiya/Star Fighter fanlisting. But yeah, I guess
I should make it open in a new window.
Also...
you mentioned my awards page. I didn't mention anything about where they
would be listed because no one has applied yet. I kind of thought that would
be pointless. As for using PHP... My skills aren't that good. And actually,
those things tend to screw with my browser. *blinks* I used ellipses twice
in this paragraph. Dang. I really DO overuse those.
Anyways!
Thanks for the review, Chibiusa. I really do appreciate it, although I
thought it was a little harsh. Everyone! I highly recommend submitting a
site to DRR!
