Dream Mirror
Yep, I decided to do a
brief summary on SuperS. Keep in mind that it's just a summary, and
I'm not going to go into great detail! Thank you for reading this odd
statement.
Super
S is one of the stranger seasons. It has circus freaks in odd costumes and
the music in this series is so bizarre, yet strangely appealing. The outer
senshi are gone, and the main star is Chibiusa. Don't ask me why she
is, but she is. Myself I like her, and so SuperS happens to be one of
my favorite seasons, right after Stars. But I digress. Anyway
the series starts off with a solar eclipse. During this solar eclipse a
circus tent makes it's way into Tokyo. Thus the beginning of the Dead Moon
Family. The Dead Moon's purpose is to capture Pegasus, a horse whose golden
horn will let them achieve their goal of controlling the world.(Isn't that
every bad guys goal?) Sounds pretty easy, after all a winged white horse
with a golden horn isn't to hard to spot, right? That's true except Pegasus
is hiding in some one's beautiful dream. Now he is hard to find!
Zirconia,
the head of the circus, orders the Amazon Trio to find Pegasus. Amazon Trio,
which are Hawkseye, Fisheye and Tigerseye go about having wacky attempts
trying to retrieve the golden mirror. We learn that Hawkseye likes
older women, Tigerseye loves to flirt but doesn't like being two-timed(even
though he does it...) and Fisheye hates cats, likes frilly girly clothes and
has a crush on Mamoru. After a number of failures Zirconia threatens them to
get the golden mirror or by the new moon their spell will be lifted and they
will revert back to their original forms. Well to sum up the Amazon Trio,
they decided they wanted beautiful dreams and turned traitor to the Dead
Moon. They helped Sailor Moon and died. Well Pegasus did give them beautiful
dreams and took them to illusion.
Now
that the Trio had gone, it was time for the Amazones Quartetto to step up!
We now meet CereCere, VesVes, JunJun, and PallaPalla. These four girls had a
slightly different way to get the golden mirror. They would use their
gemstones to bounce it out of their victim. Heh the quartet had a discipline
problem though. They always talked back to Zirconia, calling her granny or
old lady. Very disrespectful. ^^ They even tried to eat Zircon
once(the winged eye creature that is usually on Zirconia's staff).
The
quartet always believed that being a kid is great, but becoming an adult
would make you lose your dreams. Eventually in the series we learn about the
Amazones past. They were happy girls playing in the jungle until they found
a mirror. The voice in the mirror told them that she was so happy to see
them and she could make their wish of staying kids forever come to true. All
they had to do was to take the gem stones she gave them. Amazones Quartetto
now had magic power because of Queen Nehellenia. They always thought that
Queen Nehellenia cared for them, and she would save them, even when Zirconia
was zapping them to use their power to destroy the Sailor Senshi.
But once they
realized Queen Nehellenia told Zirconia to zap them, they felt betrayed.
Sailor Mercury and the other Sailor Senshi, told them to destroy their
source of power and they could live. But if they destroyed their gemstones,
they would become adults. After some persuading, they did destroy their gems
and the Amazoness lost their power. They appeared later on when they decide
to pay Nehellenia back. Nehellenia had the golden crystal, and Palla Palla
switched the crystal with a pineapple. This helped the senshi greatly. Their
final appearance is in the last episode when they are deciding whether to
say goodbye to Chibiusa and the gang. They decided it was best just to watch
them from a far. That's about it! Yes, the SuperS had a rather weak
ending, especially if you compared it to the S season, but it was still
creepy. I mean the whole concept about having your own reflection in
the mirror evil and trying to grab you!! Ok, I'm done rambling!
Journey back from whence you came!
